Nagoya castle, pictured above, was destroyed during World War II, but has since been rebuilt, though it no longer serves in any castle capacity. It is now a museum, and though some of it was rebuilt, it left most of the buildings out. So it was kinda disappointing seeing it like this. We found out as we visited temples and castles all over the place that during the war, almost everything was destroyed, and all we were going to see was a bunch of museums with pictures of the old places.
