This building is the only standing reminder of the damage done to the city
of Hiroshima. Just a few hundred feet above, the atomic bomb burst into a
tremendous fireball which destroyed much of the city. This was one of the closest
buildings to the blast. Today, the entire city has been rebuilt, save this.
