Sorry for not updating in almost forever.. it has been crazy, and with time pretty
cramped..well you know how it is. Where to start..
Not much has happened since the trip to Hiroshima a few weeks ago. The following
weekend I went out with a friend and went to dinner and karaoke. We sang, it was fun,
and we ended up ranking 1st and 2nd over all of the other singers for the night..
Lately, I have been playing a lot of guitar, writing a few songs, and drawing. I
bought a sketch book about two weeks ago, and decided to take up sketching as a new
hobby. I must say I was surprised, but I enjoy it quite a bit. Hopefully, I will get
around to painting. (I have always wanted to try painting or sculpting)
Happy Thanksgiving to all! Japan also has a Thanksgiving holiday, but it is the
equivalent of Labor Day. Except that nobody grills. This weekend however, we(the ND
group) are going to Tokyo to have a Thanksgiving dinner at the Consul Generals'
homes. They happen to be Notre Dame graduates, and invited us up for dinner and a
chance to watch Notre Dame beat USC and get into a major bowl game. (Satellite TV
is quite awesome when you are on the other side of the world)
I apologize for not having much to put here..it has been a boring two weeks. Lots
of sleeping, lots of not getting enough sleep. Almost surreally non-existent.
Oh yeah, one piece of news: I am coming home for Christmas! I got a great deal
through Anthony Travel at Notre Dame(no, they aren't getting me a deal by
mentioning them here) and I can come home! I will get home around
December 22nd or 23rd, and come back to Japan around January 13th-ish.
I can't wait to come home.. and see everyone, do all the things, and eat
all the foods that I can't see, do and eat here!
