Arizona: A Photographic Travelogue

Slide Rock State Park

On our way out of Sedona, we visited Slide Rock State Park. In the hot summer months, this place is alive with swimming tourists. In October, it was nearly empty. We found a small opening, later referred to as "Chas's Crevice," and climbed to the top of the "cliffs" twenty feet above. As we left we discovered easy trails leading up there. Oh well. This was one of my favorite parts of the trip as we got to climb something and explore an area without being surrounded by other tourists.
