Grand Canyon

This is a central part of any vacation to Arizona. After Sedona and Slide Rock, we drove another two hours to Grand Canyon. We arrived amidst the rain, fog, and mist. We couldn't see the bottom or other sides of the canyon. We decided to spend the night at "The Grand Hotel" in hopes of better weather the next day. After a mostly unsuccessful viewing of the foggy canyon around sunset, we watched the really cool IMAX Grand Canyon presentation that night. The next day, we headed out early and were rewarded with a beautiful sunrise. At that hour, so few were out that we enjoyed near solitude at almost every view point on the South Rim.
